E-4 Echoni
Created in a lab, cherished children of the Assembly, memories of what once was, and those that will lead us to the Promised Future.
These young women can exhibit esoteric abilities and push the boundaries of what can be considered human.

Summary
The Echoni are many things to many people.
To the Magnetic Assembly, they are the guiding light of the future. They represent what Humanity could become, where we are going, and where we have been. They represent the promise of immortality and the freedom from everything that has kept Humanity bound. As the children of the Assembly, they have immeasurable importance.
To the average person, they are just another super-soldier project. Sometimes they are idols that are worshiped, sometimes they are memories of what was lost, sometimes they are simply people.
To SEER, they are a research project unlocking the esoteric capabilities of Exophages. Their importance to furthering the understanding of the universe, and their similarly massive price tag are always top of mind.
To the Echoni Themselves, they are sisters. Collectively cursed with powers they don't understand, and with the expectations that they will guide humanity to the Promised Future.
Production History
The buried history of the Echoni project starts in 2175 with the first expedition of the AUS Edward Deming to planet Hawking. The planet seemed to be an uninhabited utopia ready for settlers to establish themselves. A certain location would also be discovered that seemed rich in things that were unexplored. 15 years later in 2190 Human colonists would arrive to that location to establish what would become New Cambridge on the surface, and the sprawling Alpha Concourse below.
Research into the Exophages found here would make a break through in 2303. Technology, Esoteric discoveries, and the remains of those who had already passed were combined to create the Echoni. Instead of a name they were given production numbers in order of their creation. The earliest Echoni were little more than human with no understanding of the world around them. As technology progressed, the Echoni more and more shared a bond with the Exophages inside of them, able to invoke changes to their environment that humanity could only attempt to understand.
By the 2330s, Echoni were in mass production. Each new Echoni provided experience for developing the next. The lower production numbers who were little different from humans would soon develop into the higher production numbers that had an increasing bond with the Exophages.
Genetic mutations,
Energy releases,
Once lost memories,
All would come to the later model Echoni.
At the same time, the heavily injured Echoni would form the basis of the Z program. Z-labeled Echoni would largely rely on high end cybernetics and their own ability to produce electrical current. Those inducted into the program would be carried along a different path of development than their sisters.
