History
The S-19 was part of a program from Stellar Arms to develop weapons that were fun to shoot, and would be highly marketable inside of the Union. Out of this program, the S-19 was aimed at being fun to shoot, with classic styling and an unmistakable display of power. While a number of different rounds were trial’d, there wasn’t anything truly ‘unmistakable’ that could be fired, requiring the design team to create their own .600 SHV++ Rounds specifically for the S-19. Then to add an extra bit of flare this 6 shot .600 SHV++ Revolver had a 4-gauge shotgun barrel mounted underneath.
The name ‘Armbreaker’ was chosen by the marketing department to really convey just how over the top this weapon would be, with the marketing campaign focusing on just how ‘unsafe’ the weapon was without proper arm braces. Further advertising was aimed at possible collectors to warn them not to buy the gun because of the dangerous recoil, which only encouraged them to procure more of the gun.
To further the air of exclusivity and power, the S-19 was only produced in a limited batch and sold at a high price to enhance the prestige of the weapon. Though the first run was claimed to be over 2000 handguns, in actuality only 100 were produced to drive up demand for the weapon. This instantly made the original run a collector’s item, and further reprints and licences for the weapon could command a high price.
Layout
The S-19 is a fairly conventional revolver. With an upper rail, a hammer that is held deep inside of the casing to avoid being caught on anything, a rubberized grip, and a primary barrel along the upper side. This base part of the weapon is a conventional revolver that most people would be familiar with.
The trigger itself is non-standard, and has a much heavier trigger pull than most weapons. The weapon uses an extended grip to accommodate two fingers to make the trigger pull easier.
Towards the rear, top, of the weapon is a switch that will adjust the firing hammer to fire the attached shotgun rather than the pistol itself. The shotgun barrel itself is mounted underneath the primary barrel of the weapon.
Ammunition
.600 SHV++
.600 is already an extremely large round with a large amount of explosive charge. The recoil from this alone is enough to make the weapon nearly impossible to fire by a normal human. To accentuate this, the weapon itself also has a heavy trigger pull, and a two-finger trigger to help fire the weapon itself. The round also has its own rocket engine that is activated upon firing, further accelerating the round well past what a similarly sized railgun could achieve. This makes the kinetic penetrator of the round a threat to heavily armored infantry and even some armored fighting vehicles.
Videos of the Super High Velocity round exploding targets like watermelons apart are quite popular.
6 gauge shot
Located under the main barrel is a 6 gauge shotgun capable of firing any 6 gauge rounds. $ gauge rounds are about an inch in diameter, and often have enough explosive force to shred targets. Many of the promotional videos for the weapon show the under slung shotgun being used to completely tear doors off their hinges.
