• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

The Exemplar Dr. Knowledgebot is given his first command; a captured Statesmen class ship as part of Heram Wazu's plan to help groom the Exemplar for Command. After the New Years Revolution, where The Magnetic Assembly declared its independence from the American Union along with the Hawking Star System, it was hoped that conflict would be kept to a minimum. As it turns out, the American Union is not willing to let them go without a fight.

The Story Thus Far...

The war between The Magnetic Assembly and the American Union has entered into its second year. The new AU administration has made it a priority to return the Hawking System to AU control. With the conflict currently bottled up in the Atlantica System, Dr. Knowledgebot is given a starship to refit and the mission to bring the conflict to an end one way or another.

Characters

Leadership

A former crew member of The Edward Deming and now an Exemplar within the Magnetic Assembly, Dr. Knowledgebot has been entrusted with completing important tasks in the conflict against the American Union.

Captain

In charge of the ship, its crew, and completing the mission. The ship's captain is responsible for everything going on, and is the one trusted with making the tough calls.

Ship Crew

Assigned to the ship itself, and technically under assignment by the Executive Council of New Cambridge, the ship's crew are responsible for a wide range of tasks related to operating the Edward Deming itself
