• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Formerly the AUS James Tully, the ship was assigned to operations in the Hawking star system. It would form the Alliance’s first response to the efforts of the Magnetic Assembly and the City of New Cambridge’s executive council. The ship would end up captured by The Magnetic Assembly after many of the crew were killed by fires that swept through the ship triggered by laser attack that passed through the transparent windows of the crew section on the nose of the ship to ignite the interior.

The ship's hull would be captured by The Magnetic Assembly and moved to orbit of Rotislav to be rebuilt. The ship would be renamed the MAS Shovel-Ready during this time period.

On July 4th the refit work for the ship would be completed, and it would be assigned to Exemplar Dr. Knowledgebot who renamed the ship the MAS Azathoth's Wave. The ship would be refitted with new armor and interior systems as well as a massive radio-wave-beam-array in place of the crew section on the nose of the ship. Extensive communication systems were also added to handle high bandwidth transmissions for control of drones.
