• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. The Long Term Support Operations Department of the Edward Deming focuses on the relationships between the crew of the Edward Deming, and the groups that the Edward Deming has encountered during its travels. The focus is on long term support tasks, such as co-coordinating equipment development, ensuring second contact operations go smoothly, and that commitments made by the Ground Team are followed up on by assets from the Magnetic Assembly. This frees up the crew to focus on higher level tasks like diplomacy.

Adlets

Natives to Hyperborea, the Adlets are barely in the copper-age. Their extreme distance also makes every effort to work with them that much more difficult.

Current Project

Technological Development

The Adlet tribes of Hyperborea are receiving technological aid from the Assembly, and military protection from the more antagonistic groups of Adlet Civilizations. The goal of this project is to allow Zenigata's tribe to better unify the Adlet people.

Crab People

Discovered on Ctoggha, the Crab People discovered by the crew of the Edward Deming navigated a difficult political situation between the 'Crab Princess' and 'Crab King' allowing the Crab Princess and her followers to come with the crew of the Edward Deming and establish a new home on Hawking.

Current Project

Crab Enclosure

Now that a small population of Crab People are on Hawking, the Assembly is putting effort towards developing a facility to house, feed, and care for the Crabs long term.

Theradectans

Creatures encountered during an expedition to HFR space, and the activation of Ascal's Portal. The Theradectans that decided to leave their homes for a better life ended up at New Cambridge on Hawking

Current Project

Catonite Enhanced Explosives

The 'magical' Catonite used in FTL technology is being applied to amplifying the explosive power of small drones. The Teradectans that work with the Assembly are focusing on developing these weapons for deployment in 40mm SUPER drones.

A location within Archology 44 has been given over to the Theradectans, allowing them to remove floors and walls to create a more 3 dimensional space for them to occupy.
