The Atlantica Flesh Monster, The Cancer-beast, The muscle, it goes by many names but what is known is that the creature has spread from the gateway uncovered on Atlantica at the end of 2324.

Body

The flesh monster spans for several kilometers from the Atlantica node on the Atlantica side alone. It is made up of a single cancerous tumor that continues to develop more and more cancerous growths. The majority of the mass is made of muscle and sinew like tissue, and contains highly mutated but ultimately Aoi Si DNA. The Flesh Monster also contains catonite throughout, though attempts to utilize this catonite has led to the material acting inert.
The body doesn't regenerate as much as it will form new cancerous growths of cells very quickly while the main body also continues to grow.
Burning or cutting material off from the main body will kill the smaller material that has been cut off, though the damage will 'regenerate' quickly. Irradiating or otherwise harming the main body struggles to kill cells for long, as those cells will soon either be repaired or replaced with new growths.
The creature extends out of the Atlantica node, and the body has grown to cover several kilometers of distance in all directions from the island where it first appeared.

Location

The creature exists on Atlantica, and is expected to have also grown out onto every location connected to the uncovered node. This is known to include a node on Ctoggha, though the Flesh Monster was being managed by Aliyum machines to keep it from spreading.

Important Encounters

In 2325, the flesh monster would start to emerge from the Atlantica Node. With a lack of response, the creature would simply expand into the surrounding area.

A few months later, a Magnetic Assembly aligned research platform near the node would use a drilling tool to build a tunnel through the flesh monster and into the nearby node.

Important Effects

The creature does not appear to do much other than grow. There are concerns as to how this will change the local environment.
