Azathoth
Azathoth is a planetoid that was re-directed to the Hawking System by Aliyums sometime in the early 2000s CE. It would enter the Hawking System in 2320.

Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Azathoth is a planetoid that was re-directed to the Hawking System by Aliyums sometime in the early 2000s CE. It would enter the Hawking System in 2320.
History
The history of Azathoth has been pieced together from information gathered by the Grawla during and after the Aliyum Invasion of the Hawking System, and from information gathered by The Edward Deming during their first expedition to Azathoth.
During the trip from its origin to the Hawking System, the Aliyum ships would come across a resource rich planetoid in deep space that was heading in their general direction. They would deposit some automations on the planetoid and then continue on their way.
Over the next few hundred years the automations would replicate and excavate the planetoid, converting much of its mass into usable products. They would also gently nudge the planet towards the Hawking System with the goal of rejoining the fleet. By the time they arrived in the Hawking System, the original Aliyums were long gone, but the planetoid was now a small shell world filled with factories and warehouse'd resources.
The locals would detect the approach of the planet using the Light-Year Array in late 2319. Due to the seemingly unresponsive but still quite technological nature it would be given the name Azathoth. News of its arrival would be kept quiet until after the New Years Revolution on Hawking.
In mid 2320 when Azathoth arrived, the Magnetic Assembly would send an expedition there lead by the Edward Deming. At the same time, the Grawla's first starships were launched, one of which also tried landing on Azathoth as did a ship from the DaQin flotilla operating in the deep space around the Hawking System.

Layout
Azathoth has only just started being explored, and many of its internals are still unknown.
Outer Layer
The outer layer of the planetoid is made up of a quartz-like dust as well as many metal-grids that are used as part of the giant ion-engine that directs the planetoid.
Level 1
The first layer under the immediate surface. The Grawla used nuclear weapons to clear a hole into this area and land their ship. This part of the planetoid is unlit, and has numerous warehouses for storage and landing pads for ships. This layer has more than 3km of space between itself and the outer area leaving plenty of room for starships.
Level 3
A layer made of tubes that wrap around the planetoid, each more than a kilometer in diameter. This layer grows fungus and other biological materials that are harvested for use elsewhere. It is also very well lit and contains a massive inverted-forest of mushrooms.
Level 6
This layer has a contained tube that is being spun to produce artificial gravity. Inside is a sandy-beach-area with some unfurnished metal 'homes' that is apparently used as some kind of diplomatic area.
Level 7
There are factories here that seem to produce metal sheets.
