• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Day in the Life: Assault on the Heavenly State

"I'm A GEOLOGIST" Jun reminded everyone, though it seemed the time to elaborate on her personal accomplishments had past and the time to figure out how to keep Wen from killing Koyama had come.

She was being choked, so Jun had a few moments to figure out a plan using what she had available. The injector thing didn't work and there wasn't really any more time to look for other things.

Jun did still have a gun though.

She grabbed her weapon and aimed it at Wen....

She couldn't shoot him in the chest, that was really fatal. So was shooting him in the head.

Maybe shoot him in the arm? What if the bullet hit the Princess? Shooting a princess was very frowned upon and if she shot Wen's arm the bullet might keep going and hit Koyama... but saving a princess, that was the fast-track to getting into the Royal Family!

"Sorry Wen, this is what's best!" Jun would get down close to the floor, and aim at Wen's arm, looking to shoot it and disable it!

*BAM*

Hoshiko hacked and wretched, feline tail held high and frazzled up like a bottle brush as she did best impersonation of a cat trying to cough up a furball. But the crazy talk and the punch was too much. Rising to her feet, she stared daggers at Wen as she neared. The entire bridge rang with the gunshot and splattered with flecks of blood as the scent of gunpowder flooded filled the compartment. A hole was blasted clean through Wen's arm, but the pain and agony was only the beginning - a storm struck Wen's groin from behind as Hoshiko's armored combat boot struck, his world spinning with blinding, unending pain as she kicked again, and then again!

"What the fuck! Did you get high off of smelling my thighs or something?!" the princess yelled, kicking him in the ribs and forcing him to roll off of Koyama. "Sis?" Hoshiko's rage quickly melted into concern as she looked down at the young dragon.

Wen recoiled in pain, unfamiliar chemicals coursing through his body. Adrenaline, they call it. Barely able to use his injured arm to make a fist, he eyed Hoshiko caring for her so called sister, then eyed back at the geologist, and sneered. Without hesitation, he drew his own pistol, and mercilessly shot her in the abdomen, aiming for non-vitals, before kicking her down towards the wall with his own armored boot, pressing down against her sternum.

His injured arm limp to one side of his body, his other aimed the pistol at Jun's head. "As if I'd ever be attracted to you genocidal whores." He growled at them. "Turn this void tower back to Sahabab, or the bitch gets it."

All Koyama could hear was the ringing in her ears as her neck ached. When finally Hoshiko's calls became too much or just by virtue of her mind and body trying to respond. She gasped quietly. All she could recall was the impact of the fist and subsequent pressure around her neck. Reflex had kicked in and her chin tucked, an uncharacteristic frown forming as she bulged her neck muscles. At least some part of her reacted while her mind reeled.

A voice, his voice, loud, screaming, couldn't be comprehended. It all sounded like she were underwater.

Each of her shallow breaths provided much-needed oxygen. One of her eyes cracked open little more than a slit and a grunt of acknowledgment. That yes. She was alive. But the gunshot caused her to run various scenarios on just how to survive. He was injured, losing blood, but Daqin physiology was robust. Her pride was bruised for being blindsided by a lower class being, and amongst those scenarios was how to kill him in as an excruciating way as possible.

Hoshiko let out a feline hiss, her tail twitching and waving back and forward in agitation.

"What the fuck are you talking about, you dumb ox! Did you load up a war movie your brains or something?!" She shouted at the man in disbelief. Jun could feel heat wash over her as blood spurted and sputtered out from the hole in Wen's arm at each heart beat. But already, it began to staunch as valves contracted, stemming the flow. "You think you're some human or something now?" Unbothered by the pistol pointing at the cow's chest, Hoshiko pulled out her patrol rifle and aimed it at the stubborn bull. "I'll say it one more time - stand down or get wasted!"

"Thank the Gods I'm not human, but that would be preferable, to this unholy, artificial body." Wen snarled. "I am Aos Si! The golden flame you and your masters have sought to snuff out!" He proudly proclaimed. "I don't know how your kind's sexual depravity brought me here, but here I am!"

He made a shoving motion at Jun with his pistol again. "Perhaps returning to Sahabab won't stop you from your evil work. Maybe I should have this void tower careen off into the endless darkness and have your ilk suffer in isolation!"

Jun had shot her way into this situation, and now she was going to shoot her way out of it. She wasn't going to not-shoot when someone pointed a pistol at her even if her bodysuit could probably stop the bullet... The thought that she might not be fully wearing that armored suit the right way anymore had only barely entered her mind.

Her first shot had been aimed at Wen's hand. At this close of range it'd be hard to miss. The two follow up shots were aimed generally at his arm.

Hopefully there was nothing too important behind him, she didn't have time to check.

"YOU'RE KILLING THE MOOD!"

Koyama rolled to her side as the gunfire rang out after the brief tirade, declaration, and vehement hate for her kind. Briefly (A second) she wondered if he'd go completely nuts if she mentioned she'd been born on Tiāntáng. Spitting on the cold deck the trace of blood in the saliva going unnoticed save for the slight taste in her mouth. Jun's shout only elicited a grunt from the princess once her hands were under her and pushing her up and finally to her feet.

The ringing in her ears from the gunfire in such a confined space caused a slight twitch of an eye. If Jun's shots hit or missed Koyama didn't care. Wen was by far taller than she was. And he outclassed her in sheer weight. Ox-forms were strong. But so were the Tigers. Crouching low, she sprung forward fully intending to slam a shoulder into his side while snaking her arms around one of his legs. It was something from one of those barbaric human sports where they kicked or threw balls around like the degenerate apes they were. What had it been called? Some chicken tackle? The toucan? Flamingo? Humans held near and dear to the names of the various maneuvers of 'Getting the other asshole to the ground' to count in those past times.

And if it succeeded, she fully intended to reciprocate in kind being punched in the face with all the cruelty and malice one of her station could bring to bear. With Hoshiko training a rifle on him, Jun's discharging her weapon and now this added to the mix it was turning into hodgepodge of an utter clusterfuck.

Blood speckled onto their faces as Wen's hand splattered apart, a pair of large holes following up his arm as Jun shot again and again. Lightning fast, Koyama slammed into the bull of a man, only to receive an elbow straight down into her shoulder blade, downing the princess onto the floor. With a sweep, she knocked him down as well - she wasn't out!

"Fírima." Their bones trembled as their ears brought everything back into focus. "You two okay? Jun, you got the worst of it," Hoshiko reconnected with them. As she folded away her rifle, Wen's forehead weeped blood from the small hole she had placed there . "Let's get you - and this sack of meat - to medical. Can you walk?" she asked wordlessly. With that moment of insanity passed, the princess regained her composure and sealed her suit again, opting to wiggle out of and discard the heavy, human made armor.

Koyama ended up straddling Wen's chest, she ached all over but Hoshiko could take note of the wild-eyed look in her sibling's golden gaze. Pure, murderous violence. Her tail bristled, swishing madly even as her ears lay flat against her skull and her skin flushed to a shade of pink that was not exactly healthy. She swung a small fist at the downed Ox's face, right along the jaw. Shrieked in an animalistic fury going just a smidge further than a mere boop on the nose.

Baring pointed canines in a vicious snarl. Her virtual avatar just stood stock still. A mostly glazed look to its eyes. Clearly not home or nearly so as she instead seemed to be mostly present in the meatverse. Her hand wouldn't wrap around his neck. But all she'd need was for it to close on the jugular, or at the moment her thumb pressed at the sweet spot of his larynx. She hissed and spat her pupils dilated in a purely aggressive response. All it would take was a little more... but the pressure let up. The swishing tail slowed to a thumping on the deck even while she stared on hatefully. Her hand remained where it was, the thumb but no longer on the verge of crushing the throat. Why even?

Hoshiko's younger sibling let a rumbling growl build in the back of her throat as she lifted herself from the prone bull. Dead or alive the thought crossed her mind to just stomp on that exposed neck. Just to make herself feel better. The urge was there. Like a tickle in the back of her mind, some little voice egging her on with malicious glee. Who cared if it was either or?

However, she merely took a step back eyeing him without so much as blinking. Her virtual avatar still wearing its blank expression.

"I'm fine..." Jun replied, letting Hoshiko and Koyama do whatever it is they needed to do with Wen. "... You're the one with tits that literally drove a man insane. So... I guess you should process that..."

...

Jun would wait for Koyama to finish whatever it was she was doing with the Wen, and the cautiously ask in virtual space, "... is that what we're doing with him? taking him to medical?..."

The crack of Koyama's knuckles against jaw made it clear that an average man would have had their neck broken from the strike, but Hoshiko did nothing to stop her sister's rage, looking away as though to give Koyama a semblance of privacy, even if only a moment to release her impotent rage. The tiger princess knew that she at least had the satisfaction of putting a bullet in Wen's head, but not Koyama. And Jun though?

"You're not fine. At least if we just leave you alone," she pointed out in their virtuality. Reaching down, Hoshiko unceremoniously grabbed the body by the leg and began dragging it, a course back to their corvette set in their mental displays. Helmet coldly folding over her head and sealing with a hiss, the Daqinren woman lead the way. "Let's get Jun to medbay and hope none of the fragments nicked her large intestines," she glanced at Koyama.

It was going to take all their processing power to pull off a pair of surgeries.

_________

"Stop fidgeting," Hoshiko remarked aloud, the dish clinking as another piece of copper alloy was plucked out of the buxom woman on the table. "Or we're going to make a mistake and you'll end up like him," she jabbed her thumb over at the other table. Wen's body was 'on ice', but they were going to have to get to work, and the sooner the better. Arms crossed across her chest, the robotic limbs poked and prodded with their filament-like limbs as the scanner pinged away. Grumbling, for a moment at the dour mood, she spoke up to try and change things up a little. "I guess when we fix him up and boot from gut=brain, he'll find events...mind blowing?" the tigress grinned.

"Ha haaaa it hurts to laugh," Jun said, not wanting to offend the princess by not laughing at her joke. "Is this really a conversation we're going to have while you're all up in my guts? If he's going to be an ass anytime we show him some boobs then we're better off leaving him here."

...

"We can't just leave him in space can we? Would we get in trouble for that? Maybe lock him in a room or like... ropes? We're already low on people... certainly going from 4 to 3 won't matter right?"

Koyama's fury had simmered the entire way to medical. Her tail thrashed even after she'd gathered her composure. While her flesh-orbs (Eyes) stayed locked on where they'd placed Wen, her ears were angled one toward Jun, the other straining in the direction of Hoshiko. Even in their shared virtual realm, her tail thumped on occasion. Her eyes were cold in both virtual and meatspace.

"I'd rather shoot him in the gut." her throat croaked out the words before she cleared it. One hand held her weapon and the other went to massage her tender neck. "But I want answers. One moment he's fine, then you," gesturing to her sister with her free hand, "Wrapped your thighs of steel around his neck, nearly kill him, and all of a sudden he's a different guy?"

Hoshiko gave a snerk at the cow's own joke, but one of the laparoscopic arms inside of Jun briefly paused for a moment as she meatspace-grumbled in annoyance.

"Four is the standard fire-team number for a reason," she quipped, her own feline tail flicking at the unlucky number. "Below that, we might as well consider having a human be baby sitter for a computer or something." Inside their virtuality, Hoshiko had taken to sharpening a one handed Dao, the rasping of the whetstone easily adjustable for sanity's sake. "I'd like to do something like that too - " she admitted to her sister, glancing down the length of the blade. " - but, you okay with diving into his head? We'll get him fitted in any wetdrive space that isn't damaged and start the growth of the rest, but you don't have to if you don't want to," the Tigress offered. Her royal-sister's tail hadn't quite stopped its twitching and trashing, and that wasn't the best of signs.

Nobody was to strike a princess like this, and it was likely the first for Koyama, she suspected. "And you Jun? You hopping in him too?" Hoshiko asked, sealing up the space-rock scientist.

A faint clinking noise could be heard as the last metal fragment was dropped into the disposal container.

"Geologist...." Jun whimpered. giving a sad frowny face that she hoped was convening. She didn't have any experience in the mind-fuckery... but a princess was asking her to do it so she couldn't say no right? Besides just how hard could this possibly be anyways? Wen's head was already obliterated by seeing Hoshiko's breasts somehow? Jun couldn't make it any worse.

She also should probably avoid seeing Hoshiko naked. That seemed reasonable given recent events.

"But I'll come with and see what's broken in there.

Koyama looked toward Hoshiko as she sharpened her virtual blade. The glint in her eyes suddenly gained a vicious quality to them at the question. "You want me," emphasizing the word, "To... what, meathack him?" The princess put on a rather lackluster attempt at the shock that such a scandalous thing had been placed on the table for her.

She could very well torture him inside of his mind. Stretch out a moment to eternity.

"You do realize what you're asking me to do... and what I could do." Koyama's weapon came up, the barrel just short of where Wen was stashed.

Jun nodded, looking over at Hoshiko in hopes she would explain what she is asking Koyama to do and what Koyama could do.

She wondered, if wen was dumb as rocks... then that's some overlap with Geology right?

Hoshiko stood in the dimly lit meatspace medbay, a small, cramped and utilitarian room with little regard for comfort. Only the medical procedures and modular equipment that needed to be used. In their virtuality though, she stopped grinding their ax and set it down on the nearby couch. Their space was almost like a dream, a small rest area with food, drinks and comfortable furniture, but it its edges blended together into the sci-fi space opera styled medbay next to them, where Wen lay....symbolically? Metaphorically? Alegorically? She didn't want to think about it too much.

"Normally, I'd be of the same opinion as you Koyama - actually am, partially - but the way he was acting..." her voice trailed off. "It wasn't all sorts of wrong, but it hit a spot that I find uncomfortable. Unsettling," she admitted, the medical equipment in meatspace coming to life. Like a macabre spider, the black limbs descended and began to go to work as she spoke, the almost proboscis like instrument being thrust into the hole in his skull. "This wasn't any normal mental break, and we have to get to the bottom of it, especially if it could threaten others," the tiger princess added, deciding to hold back her tongue just a little, hiding that little nagging thought, that fear in her gut. Artificial life support activated, and the body began to breathe, the heart beat to the promt of the probing machines.

"It's okay to back out though," Hoshiko said out loud. "Just watch my back if you do." Having said that, she reached over to the nearby terminal and pulled out a long cable, jacking herself in at the back of her suit's neck.

"Can we.... you know... catch whatever this is? We're not going to get Space AIDS or whatever from poking around inside of his head?" Jun's eyes opened wide when she made a realization. "We're not going to have to see his porn history right? Like we don't HAVE to view his memories?"

The surprised and worried look on her face slowly turned back to a twisted grin,

"Wait, CAN we see his porn history? That might be more fun than I thought... Or like... make him bark like a dog every time we say Ice Cream?"
