• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. Though not much taller than their natural counterparts, the Zhànshòu known as Yóujī Xīng (游擊猩 - Guerilla Gorilla) stand at an intimidating 198 cm (6'6") in height. Meanwhile, its thick and powerful body features a colossal arm span of 260 cm (8'6"). No more intelligent than a battle droid with read-only programming, it remains a highly formidable force in the field thanks to its miniaturized and ruggedized brain, night vision and thermal imaging. Each unit in the field features armor plating from head to toe composed of hardened steel hyperalloy and ceramic composite plates made to be affordable and easy to maintain. This in turn is attached onto a full body glove that is only meant to be removed for routine maintenance and cleaning. Though they remain capable of orally ingesting nutrients, their waste is automatically coated in a bio-polymer and deposited in an abdominal canister made to facilitate quick disposal.

Typical armament consists of the Type 99 General Purpose Machine Gun and multiple boxed belts of dumb armor piercing ammunition for saturation attacks. 'Specialist' units may be issued with anti-vehicle weapons. In such cases, a wrist-mounted point defense weapon composed of a cut-down and modified Type 3 Assault Rifle with non-vented barrel and dumb armor piercing ammunition is given.
