• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Stellar Arms Tactical Device #4

A common sight on weapons used by the American Union, Stellar Arms Tactical Device #4 incorporates an infrared laser, infrared optic, and powerful conventional flashlight. This gives the common soldier the ability to see in the dark or around corners through their gun-mounted camera along with some other basic capabilities.

Usage

The SA-TD4 is a basic tactical device that is intended to be attached to a weapon. It can be connected to an external power pack or computer system through either wired or wireless connections. The thermal camera can be connected to a soldier's display to allow them to look around corners while the infrared laser can be used for a variety of uses. Since the laser is only visible on the infrared wavelength, soldiers can use it as a laser sight with a reasonable assumption that it won't be seen by enemies.

The light on the device can be set for regular or strobing mode, and is designed to provide regular illumination for soldiers or to disorient opponents at close range.
