Serafina is a calm, quiet person normally. When she is doing cosplay she takes on the personality of the character, which is often very different than her usual self. She is introverted around strangers but once she gets to know someone she easily forms close attachments, treating her friends like family.

Serafina was born in Rome, Italy in 2290. Her parents are Leandro Capellino, a chef from Naples, and Vanessa Alameda, a high school teacher from Madrid. Leandro died in a car accident when she was a child leaving her mother to raise her as a single mom. Vanessa moved back to Spain and resumed teaching. She got remarried three years later to Miguel Castaneda, a widowed engineer whose son she taught in school. Serafina suddenly found herself with an older stepbrother, Albert, and an older stepsister, Carla. Miguel pretended that Serafina didn’t exist, though she was very close to Carla. Albert went off to college soon after Serafina turned 14.
Details from the period after Serafina turned 14 to when she joined the GDW military at 18 are sketchy, but we do know that her stepfather died under mysterious circumstances, and Vanessa sought counseling for abuse. She showed an interest in cybersecurity, and the military put her through college. After that most of her history is redacted. At some point she was diagnosed with adult-onset epilepsy, which was handled well with medication for several years. The medication stopped working and she was given a service dog, though she had to work at a desk after that. She retired from active duty and has been working freelance for private contractors ever since. Her previous employer went under and she is seeking employment with the Grau Lancers.
