• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Pepelnitsa Belt

The Pepelnitsa (Russian: Пепельница - Eng: Ash Tray) belt resides between the orbits of Soroka and Gorynych, in the mid-rim of the Yasny system. It derives its name from the ashy residue present on most of the asteroids, rendering them pale. There is sufficient consensus that the volcanic trails of Gorynych blew over during the belt’s formation, suffusing within it over time. This characteristic makes navigating through Pepelnitsa difficult, due to a persistent cloud being present among the rocks.

Installations


The Pepelnitsa belt is home to two operational mining rigs in separate areas of orbit, 'Angar-1' and 'Angar-2'. Manned by an even mix of humans and assistant droids, the main activities of the rigs feature chromatic prospecting, extraction of light metals and the refinery of heavy fusion fuels. The Angars are outfitted evenly, both featuring communal living quarters, a large biodome and various other recreational facilities, along with sophisticated medbays for injury treatment.
