===GLX-220-D and 220-O "Vunser" Space Superiority Armors===
A conceptual series of designs that the Magnetic Assembly experimented with during the lead up to the New Years Revolution, based significantly on commonly available GL-115 components. The "Vunser" was named after a great hero from the Assembly's genesis, and so the design itself was an attempt to produce a true space combat mecha without simply relying on adhoc civilian mecha refits.
From the start it was designed to have two distinct variants, defensive and offensive. However, the complexity of the design, the Assembly's stretched supply lines, and problems with the low fuel capacity of the offensive version meant that barely ten frames were completed by the end of hostilities. Far from being a propaganda piece, the MA buried the details of the project rather than release the fact they were intending on deploying such a rushed, defective design.
As with it's predecessor, it has no mobility under gravity, though the frame is far more sturdy, and the movable chassis highly reactive. It was never produced enough to have it's own distinct weapons created for it. Some say that SEER bought off half of the working prototypes from Yelton Veda after the war, though no public progress has been made with further development.
General Information
Name: GLX-220-D and 220-O "Vunser" Space Superiority Armors
Operators: The Magnetic Assembly
Manufacturer: Magnetic Assembly (Yelton Veda Arm)
Height: 12 Feet.
Crew; Supports one pilot for six days, but can also be operated remotely.
Engine Type; "Nuclear Lightbulb" Closed Gas Hydrogen/Uranium (4 on the defensive and 6 on the offensive version).
Pros;
-Extremely agile in both versions, though the GLX-220-D defensive focuses more on short bursts of speed, whilst the GLX-220-O offensive version has a higher maximum acceleration.
-Superior armour and sensors compared with the older civilian models.
Cons;
-Access to pre-existing conventional weapons only.
-Very short fuel capacity, especially in the offensive version.
-Extensive pilot training required to avoid physically destroying the thing in high-G turns.
