• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. The Ambition Class experimental science cruiser is a state of the art experimental platform, designed to test new HFR technology in the field, while conducting scientific experiments. Conceived in the 2310's with various components still under laboratory testing, its construction was briefly halted at the outbreak of the HFR-Daqin War, before accelerated with more interactions with the Vrexul and the opening of Node Gate Jia/Alpha on Zhuque. The Ambition Class's deployment is controversial in the greater HFR, as critics call it a mismanagement of resources, primarily of personnel and Wofleonium, when said expertise and strategic resources could be better used to win the ongoing war, instead of a "science vanity project".

The Ambition Class features the following experimental technology:

Wofleonium Voidcraft-Mounted FTL Engine and Comm Suite
Wofleonium Artificial Gravity Habitation Module
Cultivation/Node Power Training Facility
Thus far, only a single Ambition Class is in service, operated by the Commonwealth of the Dawn in the HFR: the Soaring Ambition 冲天志向.
