Aitana Molinari del Valle
Formerly an officer in the American Union's ISOC, Aitana del Valle chose to defect to the Dàqín Dìguó, where she felt she could make the most of her tactical skills. She spends much of her time honing her talents and networking within the fleet, in the hopes of becoming a flag officer in the Dìguó Jūnshì.
Personality
Aitana's outward demeanor is mostly calm and amiable, and occasionally motherly. Anyone acquainted with her, however, is aware of her ego and ambition. She carefully selects who is allowed into her social circles, not just to form useful connections, but also because of her near-obsession with skill and intelligence. Those who earn her respect become her close friends, whether they like it or not, but either way they find her to be pleasant company. She will not hesitate to encourage and uplift her friends, acquaintances, and comrades, as she wants everyone around her to be their best selves. As a navy officer, she tries to strike a balance between shrewd and ruthlessly aggressive. During exercises or the occasional taste of real combat, del Valle favors quick, decisive strikes, and aims to either demoralize the enemy enough that they surrender, or destroy them outright.
Appearance
- Build: Tall and slender.
- Facial Features: Aitana maintains an immaculate appearance, and like many Daqinren, she looks much younger than she is.
- Hair Style: Brown, long enough to reach the small of her back, and usually tied back in a thick braid.
- Distinguishing Features: Unlike many rooster forms, Aitana's plumage mostly features neutral colors. Her feathers bear the black and white patterns of a wandering albatross, and some feathers on her head and tail are a pale pink hue.
History
Aitana had a simple, modest upbringing in Tierra del Fuego, and she was considered to be a prodigy of sorts from a young age. After completing her secondary education, she enrolled in a prestigious American naval academy with a full ride scholarship, and soon became a commissioned officer in the ISOC. Unfortunately, life in the American fleet was not what she had hoped. Her skills earned her promotions, but not as quickly as the children of senators and other wealthy and influential people. She also felt that the ships and equipment were holding back her talents, and she made some enemies among the bureaucrats and engineers who built ships that she claimed were "outdated before they finished construction." Her frustrations came to a head when she was promised a promotion from captain to rear admiral, but a notoriously incompetent officer was promoted instead. She resigned, and she decided to use her officer's pension and discharge stipend to take up residence in the Daqin Empire's Special Economic Zone, as well as purchase the pricey upgrade package that would remake her as a rooster form Daqinren. Marketing her existing skills was a challenge, but she earned her commission in the Dìguó Jūnshì, and began the slow climb to an admiral's rank - which she knew she deserved.
