• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

"Announcing Lady Nimue of Cinna, third of her line and emissary of the great dune seas!" The herald sang with his sonorous voice. He paused and looked at the Daqinren before adding, "And guests!"

Like everything before, the large, spacious room was carved out of the pseudo-marble material that Jun had identified previously. Surprisingly enough, the columned room was relatively spartan in decor. Though banners stood high, there were few, and more importantly, it seemed to be set up to be comfortable. Various chairs, sofas and couches were scattered about, as were small tables of various finger foods and treats of alien origin. If someone had to sit and talk for a long time, they wouldn't be unhappy at least. At the center of it all though, was a young, noble clad Aos'Si who, if compared to a human, looked to be barely into his teens. The short, black curls on his head looked like an older sibling could tousle them on a whim, but his cold blue eyes stared daggers at the Daqinren that had been ushered into the room.

"Oh. Maybe they're the ones that will cause all the problems?" the creature towering over the young man remarked.

Sakura walked in with the others, keeping herself in a loose guard position near Hoshiko where she could protect her if things went pear shaped. Her violet eyes took in the elaborate surroundings, making note of who was where, who was armed and where assailants could hide and attack from. Was this overkill? Probably, but she had a healthy sense of self preservation and responsibility for her princess' safety.

In the VR cafe, she had managed to acquire a large slice of the cake Hoshiko had offered her. The spoonful had been delicious and made good strides to improving her mood about a certain recent event. As she snacked on the sweet dessert and focused the majority of her attention to the real world, a bit of her played back the images of the archaic and strange airships they had seen under construction in the dug out mountain shipyard. They were strange, unlike what she was used to seeing (not that she had seen much outside her own peoples ships in her short life). While she was a soldier, she had a bit of a fascination with ships and fightercraft and knew she would have to spend some time making notes and sketches later to help satisfy this curiosity.

In the meatspace she made note of the look the blue eyed black haired kid flashed them and added him to her mental watch list. He looked like he could possibly be some form of trouble. Then her eyes slide up to the big creature towering over him.

"What the hell is that?!" she blurted in the VR cafe as her eyes locked on the bird-like creature..
