History
Stellar would acquire a number of small arms manufacturers and have a growing small-arms business as of 2320. With the increasing instability in the Human Sphere, Stellar Shipyards and Stellar Arms decided to break into the heavy weapons market. Combining their rocketry experience with their recently acquired small-arms division, they were able to produced a simple, disposable, weapon system for use against vehicles.
The American Union would rapidly evaluate and approve the weapon for large scale procurement, re-naming the weapon system the UG-20. It would be widely procured, with the initial units going to the 26th ISOC fleet for operation Troubled Waters with the goal of securing the Atlantica system from the Magnetic Assembly.
Layout
The Hi-Hat is a conventional shoulder-launched missile stored in a tube, with a basic shoulder pad, trigger assembly, and red-dot sight.
Usage
The Hi-Hat is a kinetic energy weapon, which requires a few hundred meters to get up to full speed which requires the operator be far enough away from the target for maximum effect. The missile itself is designed to fly directly towards its target, able to fly 10km before the engine depletes its fuel supply and the rocket returns to a ballistic trajectory.
