• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

MAD-23 Tactical Headset

Short for Magnetic Assembly Device number 23, the MAD-23 is a tactical Headset designed to allow human operators to have the same hearing sensitivity as cybernetically enhanced individuals.

The headset itself contains two head straps and a chin strap to firmly secure it to a user's head. The over-ear headphones go around the ears and are designed to be comfortable for long-term usage. Both headsets earpieces are the same and can be swapped out independently. Each has their own battery, on/off switch, power and data connections.

Loud noises and concusive force are mitigated by the headset, which provide both long term ear protection for users firing weapons and provides protection against disorienting blasts from flashbangs or similar sound-dazzling devices. Soft noises are amplified by the headset, which makes it easier for a human operator to hear things like footsteps or other soft noises in the area. The headset also has optional software-defined sound cancelation options that can be used to help filter out various sound-dazzling devices.

Various other devices can also be connected to the Headset, including personal datapads, directional microphones, and radios, allowing the wearer to use the headset's speakers.
