• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Eos

Located at the northeastern side of the Grönskande system, part of a cluster of worlds facing the SSM, Eos is a rising power within the system as an important trade port and resource harvesting site. A variety of large, radiation-emitting (though surprisingly harmless) asteroids float not too far off from its atmosphere and are the site of a number of port-structures and mining operations. Its surface is less forgiving than the rest of the verdant system's worlds, juxtaposed between craggier, fanged earth and deep forests but jackpots of valuable minerals have been found in the more accessible sectors.

Currently it has a single large settlement best described as a mining city on its large northeastern landmass. Its populace is rapidly growing as an influx of both heavy equipment and labour gradually filters in amidst the political headbutting amongst Grönskande's increasingly fractured alliances.

History

March 4, 2321

During a routine sweep of the asteroid fields, what initially appeared on scans to be an unidentified aircraft was shot down and later revealed to be a medium-sized asteroid of unusual composition and energy readings. It was sent planetside to one of the main laboratories for further analysis.

The colony proceeded to go silent and no signals of activity were detected by both the SSM and the GDW.
