• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

IDS Yīnghuā - Log 3.0: "...make him believe you are close."

"Well, we did learn one crucial piece of information." Wen remarked, "Catonite can't change mass. We always knew that it has nigh-magical properties, but this inherent property being acknowledged already makes this mission a success. I strongly recommend we either disengage from this meeting...

Wen silently took note of Princess Hoshiko's emotional vulnerability, but otherwise didn't comment on it. Instead, he took a step in front of her to minimize the display in front of the Aos Si. Meanwhile, in virtual space, Wen shook his head and put a hand over fist to Hoshiko. "Princess, I...

"It's going to continue to spout nonsense until one of two things occur," Wen observed. "One, we follow the Aos Si and give this thing catonite or magic, which is what this thing wants, and as we've established, the Aos Si are morons." "Two, we shoot this thing in the head. To equate to...

"It is literally a messenger," Wen came to an apathy, but grumbled at his thought. "The worst kind: an American capitalist advertiser. These Aos Si morons are paying a subscription fee: every moon, it gives them dribbles of information, for who knows how much catonite in return. Mother Empress...

"These Aos Si are idiots." Wen turned to Reina and commented. "They sent a child on a diplomatic mission. Look at him. He's fraying at the seams, and Nimue doesn't seem intent on helping. The Aos Si are disunited. We should exploit their weaknesses. Princess Hoshiko, if you want to offer them...

"I shot her in the face. I don't have any useful advice on persuading her to work for us." Wen shook his head, then returned his focus back on the creature. "The Aos Si seem surprised that this creature is responding this way, even though it's clear that it's a glorified recording machine...

IDS Yīnghuā - Log 3.0: "...make him believe you are close."

"This one was dispatched... from on high... so this avian creature claims itself to be a servant of these Catonite gods." Wen reasoned. "We could try to ask it more questions about its creator, the process of its creation, and so on, but it seems that this creature is a glorified audio recorder...

Wen stayed quiet. He stood solemnly, acting his role as Hoshiko's bodyguard dutifully, remaining close beside and behind her, with his visor hiding his facial expression. In virtual reality, he plotted the demise of the avian creature before them. Xian had the right idea, but he needed to...

IDS Yīnghuā - Log 2.0: "If you are far from the enemy..."

Wen respectfully placed hand over fist, standing solemnly behind the Princess, keeping his face hidden via his visor. He wasn't sure what the proper Aos Si greeting was, but he would learn soon enough and adapt accordingly. Inside virtual space, he considered all avenues of the situation...

"How fortunate your upbringing must have been, if you are able to think so idealistically." Wen scoffed at the snake-form. "First of all, they don't want it. Offering of economic aid and infrastructure construction was my very first thought, and one that I suggested. Princess Hoshiko stated as...

Wen grumbled out loud in VR space. "Well, we didn't come here to impose our will by force; we didn't bring enough firepower for that anyways." He huffed. "Fine, we'll entertain the diplomacy game." He observed the floating cities, and noticed the disparity in wealth present aboard. The bull...

Seeing that the male Aos Si was no longer a threat, Wen stepped back behind Hoshiko. In virtual space, however, he brainstormed quickly. "This is an opportunity to see what their technology-level is not just militarily, but also other aspects of their society." Wen remarked. "See how they...

IDS Yīnghuā - Log 2.0: "If you are far from the enemy..."

"It really is a pathetic showing of the once proud Aos Si who supposedly mastered the stars, to be honest," Wen broke out of his trance as his fellow Daqinren was sexually assaulted, only refraining from caving in the male Aos Si's face, due to his companion's own retaliation. Frustration...

"We're aliens to them, they're aliens to us, it doesn't matter." Wen dismissed the semantics that Jun was making. Instead, his attention remained on these floating islands. The fact that they were made of the local jungle terrain explained how they didn't detect these floating islands from...

At the suggestion of stealth, Wen retorted quickly. "Our stealth systems have failed every time when interacting with these Aos Si. Attempting stealth would only anger the Aos Si further if they discover us. I don't mind getting into a firefight mind you, but it's ill advised if we're trying to...
