• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

Oruk

Orc, Ork, however you spell it, you got it.
  • Tall, strong, powerful, excellent endurance/stamina
  • Reproduce rapidly by laying eggs which need to be planted in the ground
  • Emerge from ground as children, but can be made to stay in longer and come out as adults
  • Caring for eggs difficult, requires attention/expertise
  • Most offspring are defective and become a sub-species as a result, either Goblins or Hobgoblins
  • Goblins are not very bright, ill disciplined and overly excitable: small and weak
  • Hobgoblins are not very bright, but disciplined: smaller than Oruk but still physically strong for their size
Culture:
  • Caste system out of necessity due to needs regarding the Goblins and Hobgoblins
  • Spartan-like in that individuals are very dedicated to their profession
  • Very organized, methodical, focused, disciplined and dedicated
  • Choose a path in life and stick with it, very certain
  • Patient, difficult to anger, polite
  • Extremely malicious and spiteful when actually angry (where all the horror stories come from)
  • Few have any affinity for magic, but those that do are very strong with this force
  • Intelligent and cunning in a very base, direct manner
  • Straight and to the point which isn't considered rude; curt, concise, laconic
