History
Mass and Mechanix have produced machined parts for vehicles both terrestrialand extra! After settling the New Austin deliquent workers, contraband smugglers, and the insane would have to be dealt with.Henceforth this design and the files to replicate it were assembled in contract of the New Texas Star System Settlement efforts. However an unpaid intern working for MM sold the data to a street arms dealer and MM suddenly had criminals in the Sol System using an unreleased gun. Marketing decided to put them in the hands of Law Enforcement instead and redesigned a 45 ACP conversion for Officers. Civilians loved the reliability of precision machined body. Some civilian enthusiasts even replicated the 45 kit from measurements, many kits exist nowadays and the entire gun is essentially open source to any smith with the right tools.
New Austin Sherrif Ranger's Office reported in 2249 a man was arrested with a custom machined version of the Zero Point chambered in 50 Action Special with a large homemade silencer that "looked like a silver brick" all in an attempt on a local political officials life for not responding to their furry erp.
