The Missile Ship (Sometimes also referred to as an Arsenal Ship), is a ship designed to primarily carry missiles, having minimal crew and often being entirely automated. They are often used to support other ships, allowing them to call upon a large stockpile of weapons should they need them.
The C2 and later C4 series starships are examples of missile ships. While they normally operate as freighters, they are typically filled with container launched missile systems if combat is to be expected. These ships are essentially unarmored against weapon attacks, and often survive only long enough to lunch their payload of missiles.
