Soon after this discovery, Union intelligence commandeers the research mission and with their considerable support in technology and manpower begins a full scale observation utilizing military grade stealth technology and next generation communication and scanning capabilities. Within the cluster of rocks, biological mass is found to be intertwined with cybernetic metal in what at first appeared to be an asteroid but is in reality a previously unseen lifeform.

Tight-beam transmissions and encoded communications are not only received but replied to with cryptic symbols and muddled data streams, barely decipherable by the joint military-science-intelligence mission. An exclusion zone is set up around the area under the guise of routine military patrols and border maintenance, rendering the area blacked out from external observation. The dialogue between the biomechanical entity and the American Union continues and soon plans are made to overhaul the derelict colony of the nearby planet Eleutheria to use as a research facility.
What the Americans are unaware of was that this was no random encounter and in communicating with the mysterious entity, they have opened the doors into their digital security systems, their communications, and their encrypted networks. A sinister intelligence lurks behind the carapace and the stone, assimilating information giving willing and unwittingly as it begins to spread hidden tendrils of control into the observation apparatus. An experimental bioweapon created by the Blood Axis, a cunning and ruthless subfaction of the Primordial Voice vrexul, it is preparing for its mission in testing the limits of human defences.
Hot on the trail of the Blood Axis fleet and its cruel mission, their enemies in the Gnosis Eater Sect have encountered a worst case scenario. The American Union is walking into a trap as it begins attempting to move the bioweapon, the Womb of Excess, onto Eleutheria ignorant of the carnage it will unleash and the wealth of information it will gift the Blood Axis. Strike forces assemble both in space and on the planet to sabotage the mission before it can begin. While they are able to evade the detection of the Americans and the Blood Axis, the Womb takes over the array of observation sattelites and defensive emplacements to annihilate the majority of the cover action fleet, tricking them into identifying it as Heaven Forged Republic vessels and annihilating them with extreme prejudice.
Multiple strike teams deployed to Eleutheria are slain by Blood Axis commandos misleading them into ambushes by Union special forces, slaughtering them then capturing their remains. The Sect military force is decimated and its mission seems uncertain.

With undeniable evidence of what sapient life intelligent and malevolent, the parameters of the Union research mission begin to expand. With the Womb captured within a reinforced military base hardened from outside interference and heavily guarded by a large military presence, the Eleutheria colony-turned-facilit becomes the site of some of the most secretive research in the galaxy. Little do they know that the Womb has already pierced its defences and communications; the experimental biomechanical weapon is coordinating with still hidden Blood Axis fleets to begin its gruesome mission.
Slowly, the fabric of reality, the flesh of those guarding and working in the facility, and the reinforced systems of security automata are seeded with hidden codes and commands as the entire fortress-base becomes a ticking time bomb. A number of Blood Axis higher ups prepare for planetfall to directly observe, control, and shape the outcome of the biopod's awakening. Little do they know that the American Union has managed to create a degree of countermeasures and control mechanisms, having learned it can consume, corrupt, then take control of living organisms and robotics. They are yet to become aware of its magical capabilities.
With their options limited, their closest allies too far to arrive within a short time frame, and their forces depleted, the Sect calls upon its human allies to reach to their contacts in the Heaven Forged Republic, the Soyuz Sotsialisticheskikh Mirov, and the Gemeinschaft der Welten to assemble a strike force for a risky mission.

Unusual interference with not just the American fleet surrounding the planet coinciding with electronics malfunctioning down on Eleutheria cause a tightening of security. The Womb of Excess starts becoming aware that it may be partially hacked by electronics warfare specialists in the Union, its communications with the Blood Axis fleet forcefully severed and its gestalt intelligence beginning to enter a panicked state.
Taking advantage of confusion that has now spread to the Blood Axis fleet, a cover strike team with limited air support descends into the atmosphere of the repurposed colony as reports of security breaches and haywire machinery begin emerging. Blood Axis forces hidden on the planet begin rapidly mobilizing to observe then attempt to retake control of the system. The Womb appears to have gone rogue and is beginning an ill-advised start to its mission.
March 2nd, 2321
Dodging increasingly frequent Union patrols and Blood Axis hunter-killer teams, the joint Sect-human strikeforce ends its observation and reconnaissance phase just as the Womb of Excess finally awakens. Untold numbers of Union personnel are warped within hours into biomechanical monstrosities, consciousness erased leaving just echoes for its consumpion as machines and flesh are repurposed into grotesque war machines. These puppets of its eldritch consciounsess overtake and overwhelm security and response forces with ease as the space of the facility grounds begins to warp and derform with profane, unearthly powers seeping like living bile through the air.
As the Blood Axis begin their attack, the Womb's forces lash out against all who near, and the American military detachment attempts to wrest control, the strike team advances towards the facility. Its mission is to recover or destroy the remains of the Sect forces and to put an end to the awakened Womb. The American Union and the Blood Axis cannot be allowed to control such a volatile entity and all of the data it has acquired. They carry with them specialized viral packages, each one believed to be capable of wiping out the still growing, rabid monstrosity before it can reach critical mass.
With limited support from what remains of the Gnosis Eater Sect's fleet, they are all but on their own in a three way battle. Their chances of survival diminish the greater the womb grows and the the intensity begins to ramp. The alternative to failure is far worse than they can imagine.
Plot Style, Characters, And Expectations
GM posts will be throughout the week, typically whenever a round of player posts is done (taking into account people forfeiting or skipping turns as well). Collaborative posts are encouraged even if your characters are not from the same faction. Characters will be from most of the major human powers, possibly even the Magnetic Assembly and a few American Union branches, but I am open to those outside of the this (ie. mercenaries and privateers) taking part in the mission.
This is going to be a very action heavy roleplay with a big emphasis on combat. There will be moments of exploration and horror, stealth and adventure, and atmospheric creeping tension. Regardless, a willingness to do a lot of shooting, stabbing, exploding, and sneaking should be
It will follow a mission based narrative structure through a variety of urban and wilderness environments, both of which will become warped by the arcane and alien capabilities of the Womb of Excess. You will battle American Union, Blood Axis, and Womb forces all of whom are not allied with one another. The option to avoid combat and manipulate enemies into fighting one another will often be an option.
The Vrexul
This plot will serve as another formal entrance of the towering arthropod-like aliens known as the vrexul into Nobles of Null. These biomechanical creatures are towering in size and often living repositories of complex augmentations and implants but their bestial appearance belies their intelligence and technological advancement. A lengthy war has expelled many of them from their distant homeworld and now reaches human known space. The Gnosis Eater Sect are the original vrexul expelled from their homeworld, experts in fighting on the back foot whether in guerilla operations or top secret raids with a preference for energy weapons and internal cybernetics. The Blood Axis is a faction as cunning as it is brutal, highly trained and meticulous in its actions which has let it become perhaps the dominant force among the Primordial Voice.
