• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. Crypto-Currency​

Crypto-Currency refers to a large variety of digital currencies that can be used for just about any purpose. These currencies can be used from a digital wallet housed on just about any electronic device. They are also serviced by exchanges and other decentralized tools throughout the Human Sphere allowing someone to reasonably easily use their currency across borders.

Historically, the name comes from early digital currencies that were backed with distributed cryptography schemes. However over time these currencies started being used alongside increasingly niche currencies that were backed through other schemes, some similar to the original cryptographic setup, others simply using other currencies, FIAT setups, or raw materials. By the 2300s, Crypto-Currency had become a common term that refers to all digital currency even if that currency doesn't actually use Cryptographic techniques.
