• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Soyuz Task Force

The Soyuz Task Force, also known as Specialist Company (SpetzCom) and TF, is a subdivision of the Red Army responsible for handling sensitive operations that lie above CCM police competency but below formal military intervention. It is a direct successor to an amalgam of various Spetsnaz disciplines following the governmental military restructure of 2101CE, placed under joint directive of the MoD and GRU.

Organisation


SpetzCom is known for its stringent selection criteria, with candidates emerging from both the CCM police and the Red Army. The candidate must demonstrate:

[1] Strong, versatile experience in service on planetary surfaces, vacuum installations and colonies. [2] An exemplary service record of at least 10 years, with references from several commanding officers. [3] At least 'exceeding average' scores for PT, maintained over a period of 5 years up to selection. [4] Broad experience in firearm handling, with 'outstanding' scores in use of at least two archetypes. [5] An unbreakable commitment to the security and values of the CCM and its people. [6] Ability in and good understanding of stealth operations. [7] Ability to perform their duties and follow orders without contact over prolonged periods of time. [8] Ability to work cohesively in small groups with other candidates, regardless of background. [9] Multi-climate survival knowledge and awareness. [10] In-depth knowledge of foreign states, cultures and agendas. [11] Fluent command of at least 3 languages. [12] Evidence of birth and upbringing on CCM territories.

Recruitment starts at Captain-level within both the CCM police and Red Army; following selection, the candidates are divided into small groups and assigned a senior SpetzCom officer with at least 5 years of active service in the unit. These groups are numbered with a TF prefix. The senior officer leads the group throughout its additional 5 year commando training, then becoming the commanding officer until the group is retired from service. There is a maximum of 10 commandos per group including the commander.

SpetzCom candidates which stand out in academics and technical knowledge, as well as being able to demonstrate the 12 conditions to a satisfactory standard have the option to train for an Operator role. CCM Operators are skilled commandos that primarily perform solo stealth missions, ranging from technical sabotage to assassination. It is not unusual for Operators to be involved in KGB matters, or be members of standard TF Commando teams.
