As we've discussed, the human air doctrine would move away from manned fighters almost entirely, instead focusing on large aircraft that can command fleets of specialized drones, and support logistical chains for global reach.
For the HFR, I'm thinking that it would primarily employ two types of named and manned aircraft, then a bunch of letter and number designated drones.
The Wang Peng (王鵬, King Peng, Peng being a mythical Chinese bird): A pseudo-aerial-aircraft carrier that flies mega long-duration flights at suborbital altitudes: a flying wing, capable of refueling and maintaining other aerial assets, has a large cargo bay that can support airbornne infantry and other equipment to be dropped nearly anywhere on a planet. The Wang Peng would have multiple large engines that move massive amounts of air around, all powered by a fission drive.
The Zheng He (征鶴, Conquering Crane): A four-man aircraft in the shape of a 21st century stealth bomber, essentially a multi-role command fighter that flies closer to the ground, capable of commanding any arrangement of drones depending on mission needs. Has cloaking technology, a whole array of EW and sensor suites, and limited self-defense capabilities in the form of a single, retractable, turreted laser. The Zheng He is stays aloft using conventional chemical propollents, its electronics powered by that and a ultra high energy density battery.
