• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

General Community Moderator and Manager Election Rules
Community moderators and the community manager must go through reelection every six months, effective after this draft’s passage.
  • The election process will be announced a month, then a week, then a day beforehand.
  • Nomination for community moderators will have a duration of three days.
  • Elections for community moderators will have a duration of three days.
  • Election for community manager will have a duration of two days.
  • Requests for time extension will be accepted or denied upon staff discretion.
The community manager is elected from a pool of moderators after an election of said moderators, and wins via the most votes. To prevent a gap in coverage, the previous community manager stays on board until a new one is elected, except if they are voted out of office via referendum. A temporary community manager can be appointed until a new one is elected via simple majority vote by existing staff.

Elections will be conducted through Google form where voters input their name. Managing these results and keeping said results anonymous falls onto the Setting Developer, the Web Master, and the Community Manager currently in office. These results will be verified by the new Community Manager.

Referendums
Player initiated referendum can be made against elected staff, provided a staff member sponsors the referendum. The elected staff must win two-thirds majority of the total vote to stay in office. If the referendum passes, that staff member steps down, and elections are held for new CMs.

There is a cooldown period of three months after passage or failure of referendum to prevent spamming.
  • Cooldown is void if staff initiates referendum.
