Zatchtraceni

The zatchtraceni (translated: damnation-lust) is a bio-electrothermal assault-canon used by the Vrexul that used compressed light gasses to fire a variety of projectiles at incredible speeds.

History

The weapon has its origins in now outdated security bioautomata used to protect the Nest of Intransigence during embryonic slumber. After the awakening, the weapon has been further improved with cybernetic components, allowing for higher chamber pressures, better muzzle velocity, and more advanced projectiles while retaining the older, proven structure of the weapon itself.

Layout

This long, semi-rectangular weapon with earwig like anatomical elements and a long barrel looks as much feral as it is does eerily futuristic in its marriage of the smoothly molded chitinous aspect of their nature and stark, angular artificiality.

Usage

The Zatchtraceni is essentially a semi-biological ETC gun sized down to be wielded by their many-digit'd claws. Cybernetic components mix with semi-living artificial biomass to create powerful bioenergetic reactions capable of spitting out caseless hyper-accelerated rounds a bit larger than a human hand or first with the impact of small vehicular mounted autocannons. The varried ammunition types and ability to fire a wide range of projectiles including inert bone chips means the standard Vrexul can reliably be armed with this weapon, and be expected to have the capability to be a threat to anything short of heavy armor.

Ammunition

The Zatchtraceni can fire a wide range of Bio-projectiles. This includes Semi-organic explosive payloads, internal fragmentation spines, electroshock battery-bombs. The almost living nature of their munitions coincides with a great degree of secondary effect diversity.
