A dedicated ground based reconnaissance platform, the Yǐn Zhǎo (隱爪 - Hidden Claw) is a reptilian chimera that roughly resembles a small dog sized velociraptor. Its sight, hearing, and sense of smell are superb, and its collapsible frill can be both used for echolocation and as a radar emitter-receiver. A third 'eye' can also be used as a laser emitter for both communication and as warning receiver. Though it comes with bio-engineered thermoptic camouflage, operating temperatures directly affect its performance, with hotter temperatures overclocking its abilities and colder temperatures reducing its speed. Despite being unintended for combat, its hardened alloy beak and claws can be used offensively, especially when swarming an isolated soldier.
