Tereshkova (Russian: Терешкова) is the innermost moon of Gagarin. It was named in commemoration of Hero of the Soviet Union and first woman in space, Maj. General Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova. This moon is tidally locked to Gagarin and has been stretched into a droplet-like shape by the latter’s gravitational force.
