The very first rifle designed by Underwood all those years ago when he founded his company; chambered in either .44-40 or .45 calibers, and rarely .45-70, the Prairie Warrior stands proud as Underwood’s best-selling gun, just as popular as the Coach Raider but twice as widespread. The Prairie Warrior is typically used by pioneers, settlers, wilderness rangers, explorers, farmers, and civilians, serving as a fine defense against most hostile fauna and home intruders, and is even utilized by some military sharpshooters for applications in more close-range sniping. Some Prairie Warriors are designed to be chambered in 12-gauge shotgun shells; the sawed-off versions of these shotguns are extremely popular in action movie-making as weapons used by protagonists.
